This Master's thesis describes the process of designing a furniture collection that will accompany their owner for the rest of their life. The thesis focouses on new artistic and engineering solutions, which are first applied onto a stool and later used for other types of furniture. Longevity and precise craftsmanship are the two main ideas that these products represent. These ideas are also reinforced by the materials used, that is wood and metal. Wood, a material that emanates warmness and familiarity in unison with a rigid and strong material like metal create a timeless combination that holds both practical and artistic value, which ages and matures with the owner.
