Bachelor thesis is focused on examining the opinions and attitudes of the lay and professional public to the grey wolf (Canis lupus) in the Slovak Republic. The grey wolf belongs to the so-called "Big Beasts" living in our country and is currently leading debates regarding its management and protection in the Slovak Republic. The society is polarized by opinions on the regulation of the number of grey wolves, on its optimal management, its classification among year-round protected animals and pests caused on the property of grey wolves. The aim of the work is to find out the individual attitudes of the public to the issue. To collect data for the work, we used the research method of an online Internet questionnaire, the processed data of which indicate that the opinions of the lay and professional Slovak public differ in individual issues.
