The aim of the bachelor thesis is to point out the causes and motives leading to the crime of the animal abusing and neglecting animal care from the aspect of forensic psychology. The intention is to clarify the basic concepts of environmental crime and forensic psychology in this criminal area and explore the state of environmental crime not only in Slovakia. The analysis of the questionnaire survey is to obtain a image of what awareness and knowledge has public in this area, identifying what causes and motives lead a man to commit crime and proposal for appropriate preventive measures.
