The aim of this work is to describe environmental criminality in the Lučenec district. The theoretical part describes the legislative aspects that are related to the issue of the environment and environmental crime committed on the environment. The next section lists the types of environmental crimes. In the practical part, the Lučenec district is first introduced and then the environmental criminality is analysed on the basis of data on criminal offenses. Finally, procedures and proposals for improving the current situation and preventing environmental crime are presented.
