The Bachelor thesis is aimed at an overview of information about the occurrence of invasive plants in Central Europe and Slovakia. In the first part on the thesis, the basic concepts of the invasion and knowledge of European and Slovak applicable legislation on invasive species are defined. They are also described methods and factors of the dissemination of invasive species as well as the possibilities of their disposal. Selected invasive species with the most common occurrence in Slovakia are characterized by morphological features, ecological demands on the environment and their area of expansion. In the second part of the thesis are listed the results of the occurrences of invasive species and on new sites in Slovakia, the dynamics of their dissemination and increase in specific sites of occurrence. The benefit of this theisis is to obtain a comprehensive overview of the most widespread invasive species in Slovakia. The most effective means of protecting health and original vegetation is the spread of awareness and prevention. By appropriate consideration and proposiotion of management measures in our territory as well as within Central Europe, the restriction of the dissemination of these species, as well as the elimination of their negative impacts with a focus on protected territories cac be achiaved.
