Within the theoretical issues, the bachelor thesis deals with forest ecosystems and forestry in general and within Slovakia, also with the impact of forests on human health and with public opinion polls. Within the research part, bachelor thesis deals with quantitative descriptive research using a questionnaire survey, which was part of an international project at TUZVO.. In the research part of the bachelor thesis we analyzed the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the perception of the importance of forest characteristics taking into account gender, age and education of respondents and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on changing environmental perception after the onstet of the infection taking into account gender, age and education of respondents. The aim of the work was to find out the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the change of environmental perception through a questionnaire survey. In terms of defining the results, It was found in research, that the most important characteristics of the forest after the onset of the infection of the COVID-19 pandemic were considered to be its smell and its natural sounds and the least significant value of forest was dead wood. It was also found that respondents after the onset of the infection COVID-19 began to think more than before, that forests should fulfill mainly the ecological function, that forests are over-harvested and also began to value the forest generaly more, while most respondents did not agree that forests should fulfill in particular a production function.
