In the bachelor's thesis we dealt with thicker beech plywood, it´s properties, production, and end-user experience. We divided the work into four chapters. In the first chapter we focused on the goal of the work. In the main chapter, we focused on thicker all-beech plywood. At the beginning we described the beechwood in general, characteristic, and properties. In the following subchapters, we presented the general characteristics of all-beech plywood, it´s construction, physical and mechanical properties, distribution according to the end-user. At the end of the chapter, we focused on the adhesives used to make plywood. In the third chapter we described the chronological production of plywood. We divided the production process into many parts, from the log preparation to its debarking, pressing the veneer, and the final treatment. In the last chapter, we paid attention to special types of plywood, which have a non-standard use. We described new technologies, their research which deals with a lot of different ways to improve the properties of plywood. At the end of the chapter, we focused on each individual producer in Europe and Slovakia, which are engaged in the production of beech plywood. We presented their properties and application.
