The topic of this master thesis is focused on the description of complex respond of the fire brigade to adverse event. In our case, this was a car fire in the underground garage of the shopping centre. The aim of this thesis was to describe and characterize our chosen shopping centre, to process a comprehensive fire brigade intervention after a terrorist attack, to evaluate the intervention, including possible complications, and finally to propose several preventive measures that could prevent possible complications. The thesis consists of two chapters, under which their subchapters are divided. The content of the work consists of text, better understanding of described issue, tables and two graphs. The first chapter deals with the present state of the problem. This chapter consists of legislation, fire safety of garages, activities of the fire brigade and garage fires in the Slovak republic in the period from 2015 until 2019. The following chapter contains the practical part of our work. It deals with the characteristics of our chosen shopping centre and ensuring the fire safety of the building. There is an adverse event simulated by us and a comprehensive intervention of fire brigades. In conclusion, the intervention is evaluated, and preventive measures are proposed to prevent possible complication.
