Zvolen: Technical University in Zvolen, 2020; 72 pp. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of discourse on the example of the discussion about forest management in the vicinity of Bratislava in the articles of the journal SME.sk. The work consists of two parts, theoretical and practical. The first chapter focuses on the characterization of discourse analysis. The second chapter is focused on the analysis of discourse in forest policy. The practical part consists of the third chapter, which is focused on articles in the newspaper SME.sk. Which we gradually analysed according to the selected scale. This analysis points to the actors of the articles, forest managers, stakeholders and especially points to the problem of forest localities near Bratislava. The analysis shows that the people of Bratislava are mainly in favour of the recreational functions of forests, they want less or no wood to be harvested in the forests around Bratislava. Non-governmental organisations are trying to reclassify forests. They want to prevent felling in commercial forests.
