The thesis briefly evalutes natural conditions and basic charakteristics of the torrent Veľká Bránica, geomorphological units Malá Fatra. On the watercourse of the torrent, there were estabilished 20 experimental sections and 20 experimental flow profiles on them. On these experimental sections and flow profiles the basic geometric and hydraulic charakteristics were measured and determined. He thesis uses method of regional equations to evaluate the morphology of watercourse of torrent Veľká Bránica. It analyses the relations between the local watershed area Sp (km2), and width of riverbed in the banks B (m), maximum through dept of the watershed H (m), the area of flow profile Spp (m2) and the bankfull discharge of watershed Qk (m3.s-1). The thesis also analyses flow capacity of experimental flow profiles of the torrent Veľká Bránica and provides suggestions of the results of the analyses in nature-friendly care for the torrent.
