In the bachelor's thesis we deal with the application of the BANCS model (Bank Assessment for Non-point Source Consequences of Sediment) on a selected watercourse Bystrá, which is located in the geomorphological unit of the Low Tatras. In October 2019, we established 16 representative experimental sections on which we measured the input characteristics to determine the resulting BEHI and NBS index. Part of the work is a detailed erosion analysis, the river basin characteristics, a detailed description of the BEHI and NBS indices and a description of each experimental section. Ten experimental sections were rated with a low BEHI index and six with a medium BEHI index. The range of values ranged from 12.0 to 23.7. Twelve experimental sections were rated with a low NBS index, three experimental sections were rated with a medium NBS index and one experimental section was rated with a high NBS index. The range of values of the NBS index ranges from 1.10 to 2.17. The BEHI and NBS indices appear to be good predictors of erosion.
