An important task of effective management of the company is the optimization of its material stocks. The diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the current state of supply activities in the company Bodyland, s.r.o. dealing with the provision of logistics services. In this work, I focused on the analysis of the current state of supply activities using indicators of evaluation of inventory levels to examine inventory management in a selected company. In this work, material stocks are classified into three groups based on ABC analysis according to the amount of their average stocks. The EOQ model was applied to all elements of group A, which defines the optimal order quantity and the order interval, the task of which is to minimize storage costs. The aim of the work was based on the analysis to provide suggestions and recommendations for improving supply activities, and to point out the possibilities of reducing costs by ordering the optimal amount of individual materials.
