Michaela Vaňková: The Polyfunctional Residential Building Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, Faculty of Civil Engineering Building Structures and Architecture, Bachelor s Thesis, 113 pages, 2016 The project of the polyfunctional residential building arose on the subject of Studio Art Work II in the range of architectural study and Studio Art Work III and IV, within the scope of the project of planning permission, and at the same time selected parts of the project in professions such as statics, heating, sewage, gas, and water supply were developed. The Street of Paul Orszagh Hviezdoslav is located in the southern part of the city Beluša. There is an ongoing construction of the residential buildings in high-altitude level 4 of above-ground storeys and a greenfield area. The residential buildings are of the same architecture and this residential area has been designed as an exclusive housing for the middle class. Therefore the proposed integration into the urban area connects to already existing residential buildings. The layout of the building has been designed with the orientation to cardinal points. The polyfunctional residential building has been arranged with a basement intended for parking cars, with maintenance facilities, and with six floors, where the apartments are. The first floor contains of three functional premises. The function of the housing in the composition of diverse apartments (a wide choice of size categories ranging from studios and one-room flats to five-room flats) appears to be attractive not only because of the position at point-blank range to the center of the entire residential complex, but also because it directly relates to the development of the city of Beluša.
