The estimation of harvested trees volume depends on different parametres that includes the tree stump thickness d0,2, the tree stump height and tree height h. The overwhelming majority of methods for determinating of harvested tree volume comes from the thickness d1,3 that is thickness function d0,2. The thesis concentrates on the volume estimation of harvested trees using tree stump thickness and characteristics of residual trees in forest cover. The individual methods how to determine a tree volume are based on the fact that a tree volume is the function of a thickness d1,3 and its height h. The thesis deals with different methods of thickness determination d1,3 by tree stump thickness d0,2 ,an estimation using Regulation of Ministry of Environment of The Slovak Republic no. 24/2003 that exercises the law no. 543/2002 of statute book about nature and country protection and regression estimation. At work there are also described different methods for estimating of harvested tree volume. The aim of this work is volume determination of harvested trees in a forest cover based on more methods using remaining quantities and comparison of investigated results among particular variants. From investigated results follows that thicknessess d1,3 /regulation/ that were derived from procedure by regulation are overestimated compared to thicknesses d1,3 /regression/ that were derived using a regression model. The average of differences among real thicknesses d1,3 /caliper/ and thicknesses d1,3 /regulation/ i s +6,7cm, it means that thicknesses derived from procedure by regulation are systematically overestimated and the average of differences amongd1,3 /caliper/ and d1,3 /regression/ is 0,0 cm that means that all these thicknesses are equal with the real thicknesses. From individual ways by estimation of harvested trees stock follows that to a real volume 76,28 m3 determined using volume tables approximates the most a volume using a variant that comes from a function v=f(d0,2) determinated using regression model 76,29 m3. The most significant difference compared to a real stock is a stock determinated by a variant D2 106,03m3 that was counted by Ok130, it means a reduced tree trunk girth and heights h measured on standing trees. It is possible to use gained knowledge for estimation of harvested trees of a woody plant oak tree or in case of reconstruction of harvested forest cover stock by tree stump dimensions in illegal harvest and thefts of forest cover.
