The focus of the work is mapping the occurrence of wood- destroying fungi in selected localities OZ Kriváň. In the stands LC Hriňová a CHKO-BR Poľana were established research areas and summarized their forestry characteristics. Four research areas about the dimension of 100 x 100 m were established. Each research area was in different locality. We focused on recording the spectrum of the fruiting bodies of the wood- destroying fungi and contested the dead and live wood. When evaluating climate data to generate data on the average temperatures and precipitation from the beginning to the end of the research. To evaluate the health status from the point of view of dead wood and the occurrence of parasitic, saprophytic, saproparasitic and mycorrhizal fungi.
