The aim of my bachelor thesis was to evaluate natural conditions in Piešťany, located in the western Slovakia. More detailed focus is on climatic conditions. The work contains rainfall for the 113-year period, divided into two periods 1901-1970 and 1971-2014. Traces of rainfall are for the total annual period during the winter months (X-III month) and in the vegetation period (IV-IX month). It is inserted into a chart trend on an accurate assessment of whether it is increasing or decreasing rainfall. Following with a chart with average annual temperatures and a description of the territory concerned. In hydrogeological situation is a description of the river Vah, which significantly affects this area. Next, the geological and hydrogeological conditions. There are observations of the groundwater level in five probes administrated by the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute: Piešťany, Piešťany- Haj Drahovce- Majer, Kocurice and Horné Voderady. Observations are for the years 1969-2014. The work included a description of the geology of the area with species and soil types that occur especially here. The chapter describes the most interesting vegetation species of flora that are found in the area. The work includes an evaluation of the area in terms of the lack of rain, there are processed by methods of assessment of climatic drought. This assessment is in the fifth chapter calculated for six selected methods, accompanied by an assessment of this area. The sixth chapter is devoted to a SWOT analysis on natural conditions, briefly described in the charts.
