The task of the thesis was to create architectonic study of a boarding house with an agrofarm, located in a holiday resort Sigord, southeast from the town Prešov. The object is designed as the boarding house with its own farm, which serves as recreational and excursion zone for families with children. There is also possibility to practise hippotherapy. The boarding house has selling and representative spot for its own products. Accommodation is available for 16 people, with a possibility of extra bed. Catering part serves as a dining hall for accommodated guests, but especially as a restaurant, which cooks from its own products. Capacity of the restaurant is from 60 to 100 people. Massing study of the object, its location in an environment and materials used were designed to create harmony with surrounding nature, but on the other hand to become a bright point of the surroundings. The location of the object near the forest creates a retreat from the frequented road nearby. Concerning about keeping traditions of local architecture, I made a connection of modern elements with elements of local rural architecture. Disposition of designed object is solved on the basis of its function and orientation to cardinal points. Since there are good views of surrounding nature from accommodation and restaurant parts, I have chosen to use big, transparent surfaces. The boarding house is a dominant part of these objects. It offers unforgettable view of the mountain range of Slanské vrchy or of the dam Sigord. I put emphasis on the usage of renewable resources of energy, especially on heating with horse manure turned into biomass boilers.
