In the introduction part of this diploma, we deal with the current situation of laser technologies in industry, along with a construction and innovation of a fiber laser within industrial cutting. The theoretical part of this thesis describes the matter of laser cutting of metal materials as well as the main functional parts and advantages of the fiber laser in industrial production. The results of the MSF laser system diagnosis are shown at the beginning of the experimental part of the thesis. These results were necessary in order to determine the correct research methodology. With the selected methodology of a cutting parameters design, we have successfully achieved the results for straight and bevel cutting of mild steel. The results were modified into characteristics and delineated by a suitable mathematical function. Successfully tested results will be implemented into a drive system of the MSF machine to ensure it´s effective operation. Also, these results will be used for a further research and development of a 3D tilting laser head configuration.
