Use of the forest winches in the timber extraction process is effective way of using technology for improving forest economy. Thesis focuses on creating design for single-drum forest winch. It describes actual situation in forest economy, utilization of forest winches and rope systems, as well as construction solutions of these systems. This paper contains list of suggested dimensions, designs of the winch construction parts and the winch itself as a whole, based on the given parameters, along with the design and 3D model. Another information found in the thesis is strength analysis of bolts used at construction of winch frame. Thesis goal is to design, calculate and model suitable winch reflecting assigned requirements.
