The main task of my bachelor thesis is to map the population of the predatory wolf in Slovakia. Wild Wolf (Canis lupus) is a natural and indispensable component of our nature. It is the biggest canine beast in Slovakia and also in Europe. There is currently a dispute between the hunting and conservation public in the management of this canine beast. To resolve this dispute, it is therefore necessary to know the wolf's natural and dietary demands to determine its optimal population. The conditions and abundance of animal deers in our territory, which are also included in my work, may also directly affect this. In my bachelor thesis I focused on a detailed description of the wolf's physiology and ethology. When working on the work, I focused on describing his extraordinarily good senses, especially hearing and smell. He uses his senses not only for hunting but also for mutual communication in the clamp. Wolf Clam members are in a strict hierarchy and have a status. The Wolf Clamp is dominated by the alpha pair and the other members are beta and gamma subordinate to them. The reproduction and upbringing of the new generation have been described in detail in chapter 2.3. Wolves in the territory of the Slovak Republic usually inhabit the eastern and central parts of the territory. In recent years, they have also been recorded in western Slovakia. Their spread in the past was influenced by human persecution. Wolves hunting in the past was not regulated and therefore the wolf was wiped out on our territory. In the second half of the 20th century, the predatory population of the wolf population began to increase as a result of management and migration changes.
