The bachelor thesis deals with the processing of the history of hunting cynology and its present. The individual chapters describe the origin of the dog, the development of breeds and also the history of hunting in Slovakia. It presents important representatives of hunting cynology in Slovakia, which have earned the maintenance and development of this science. It captures the importance of hunting cynology at present, ascertains the basic distribution of hunting dogs and describes significant hunting dogs (baldocks, farbiare, durires, builders, voyagers). It clearly processes the records of the Slovak Studbook in 2010 - 2016 according to which it compares the number of breeding individuals as well as puppies for each year. By comparing the number of hunting dogs in the Slovak stud-book for a certain period of time, comparing the hunting game plan with the number of hunting dog puppies registered in the stud book, according to which the current state and gradual development of cynology is characterized. In the end, the thesis summarizes the perspective of hunting cynology in Slovakia.
