The bachelor thesis is focused on comparison of attitudes and opinions of lay public in Nitra region to game hunting. The main objective was to describe the attitudes and behavior of our target groups from the above mentioned region to questions concerning hunting in Slovakia, its activities and attitudes towards game hunting, or the relation to meat from game. The thesis contains two parts, where the first part is focused on the theoretical part, describing the attitudes and behavior of groups and individuals, their influence and impact on opinion due to bambi effect and perception of hunting accompanied by slaughter paradox. This section contains two chapters and a total of eighteen subchapters. The second practical part focuses on the public opinion survey of the Nitra region. Subsequently, we compared the individual results and evaluated the orientation (positive, negative) of attitudes to the topic concerned for hunting animals, or hunting chicks if they are sick or injured. In conclusion, we have chosen, using selected methods, that the general public does not have the negative attitude towards hunting as we expected. It is certainly the result of the so far improving communication between the general public and the hunting public (professional). The public is increasingly perceiving hunting as an important part of the natural cycle of life in nature, and its content is not hunting, but also protecting, knowing and protecting it.
