The Diploma thesis is focused on consumer awareness and protection ofconsumer’s rights in Slovak republic. The first chapter contains theoretical definition ofmentioned issue. We defined basic concept and looked into the steps which consumerhas to take to make a decision whether he buys the product or not. In the following sub-chapter we looked into legislation which focuses on consumer’s rights on Slovakia aswell as on rights we have common with the Europian Union. We looked into unfairbusiness practices of sellers as well.In practical part of the diploma thesis we analyzed our survey. We explained ourresults of preferences of our respondents and we displayed them graphicaly. In the endwe summarized the results we discovered through our survey.
