The main topic of my bachelor's work is the design center with accommodation STU -- "Apartments technik" on street Imricha Karvaša in Bratislava. Since the beginning of my assignment was to design not only quality housing for guests of the University, but also to bring life to this site and attract the public space and to highlight the potential of the place where now only lays the place for parking or unused green areas. Apartment house is primarily focused for temporary accommodation . Ambient number of storeys is diverse, next is the tallest building in Bratislava and at the bottom boundary are former barracks of consists of 2-3 ground floors. The property is located in the city center therefore has a very lucrative position. The idea behind the proposal was to create a semi-public space between the blocks gallery house a block is formed of low-floor vernacular architecture. Thus spacemaking main element of my proposal is the land itself and its diveristy into two zones - zone of gallery house and the zone of services houses and space between them - the public space. This street I created from the separate objects - "houses" that its shape reminiscent of houses that stood on the land before building NBS, and Slovak Radio. The bachelor thesis consists of two parts - the textual part and the part presenting the drawings. The textual part is subdivided into the introduction and substantial core. The crux of the textual part is the report on architectural studies for territorial proceedings and comprehensive technical report with a more detailed description of the given solution. The part presenting the drawings includes miniatures of architectural drawings on a scale eligible for the territorial proceedings and miniatures of drawings of the construction project for the construction proceedings; including further drawings, selected construction details and material solutions of the object. The thesis is supported by annexes, printed large format drawings on an appropriate scale together with a poster for the presentation purpose and a model.
