Bögiová, Enikő: Aparments Technik, Imricha Karvaša and Radlinského street, Bratislava The goal of this bachelor project was to design a maximum 6 storey residential building with integrated functions, such as a restaurant, tavern, gallery and rentable shopping places. The plot is in the city district Bratislava - Old Town, next to the crossroad of Radlinského and Imricha Karvaša streets. In the near neighborhood there is the National bank of Slovakia, the building of the Slovak Radio and also the faculties of the STU. It's the ideal location for student accomondation. The next big potential of the plot is it's location compared to the main historical core of the city. There is also very good connection to the public transport on Imricha Karvaša street. The concept enters the location gently , it reacts on it's enviroment with an effort to maximalize the attraction for the community and also for the accomondated ones. The ruling composition element of the building is the variation of angles and breaching of the facade. From the northeastern side there are consolated parts of the apartments, with a purpose for a better orintation to the cardinal points. These constructions allow to create a shopping passage, which could revitalize Imricha Karvaša street. The residential levels are designed as hallway and perimeter corridor type structures, with different typed apartment rooms. The architectural design is on the level of area and building dispensation.
