My bachelor thesis deals with revitalization of square called Námestie Hraničiarov. This area is located in Bratislava, city district of Petržalka. The purpose of bachelor thesis is to revitalize the area of the square with higher demands on the spatial organisation and functional use. Revitalization task is to meet all functional and aesthetic requirements of the space. Its aim is to create new space for the general public and visitors of all age classes. It has to create space for active and passive recreation, relaxation and pedestrian movement. Bachelor thesis consists of texts and graphics. Text section contains the characteristics of the current state of the problems, description of the proposed solutions, goal setting work with the characteristics of the project concept and methodology of processing. The current state of the problems at home and abroad contains examples of three squares abroad and three squares in Slovakia. Its squares located in residential areas of the city. Methodological procedure of processing includes a description of the area, the site in terms of broader relations, boundaries, assessment documents, relation to land use planning documentation and description of the operation in terms of the assignment. The graphic part is divided into landscaped architectural studies and project construction. The architectural and landscaped study consists of an analysis of a landscape and architectural analysis. The analytical part is graphically interpreted conducted field investigations and carry out the identification and localization of relevant problems in area. Architectural-landscape analysis is given of the concept of solutions, comprehensive design schemes and spatial view of the area. Construction project is divided into two parts. The first consists of complex technical solutions, material-technical solutions, setting and drawings. The second part of the project construction consists of drawings of architectural and landscaping details. Revitalization could help to improve the quality of life of residents in the surroundings of the square. And in the future it can be used as an example for restoration of square.
