The theme of this diploma thesis is the so called great mansion in Cífer. It is listed in the Central register of monument fund with its surrounding park. Until near past it had served as administrative, research and storage facility for Western-slovak poultry company. The mansion as well as the park are not operating today and the park is not opened for public. The thesis is concerned about proposal of new purposive operation and renovation of the mansion as well as the original park, which is disturbed by improper construction. The thesis is proposing its revitalization and opening for public. After consideration of several functions, the most optimal one seems to be the museum of needlework, which has a long history in Cífer. The aim of the work is to verify correctness of the selection of new function, the whole concept and also possible approaches to individual problems and improper interferences, that have emerged by improper function operation the last time.
