Submitted diploma thesis deals with recreational use of Poľana Protected Landscape Area, based on infrastructure (mainly accessibility through networks of hiking trials and its relevant equpiment). Furthermore, we evaluated annual visit rate on the hiking trail leading from the Mountain hotel Poľana to Priehybina saddle, including a visit rate during the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, we also conducted our own survey focused mainly on the perception of natural forest environment on visitors’ well-being. 91 % of them felt better after visiting the forest than before and 91 % also sought walks in the forest during the pandemic. At the same time, one of the findings was that when applying a stepwise multiple linear regression, age was identified as a factor that explained the 11% variability in the evaluation of the positive feeling after visiting the forest (R2 = 0.11), while the positive feeling decreased with the increasing age of the respondents. This diploma thesis follows up on the author's bachelor thesis and is its logical outcome.
