In this bachelor's thesis, we focused on methods of detecting environmental crime in the field of air protection. We have summarized the basic concepts and information from scientific and professional publications, which were focused on the well-known issues of air pollution and environmental protection. Great attention is focused on individual air pollutants and environmental risks. This work describes the sources of air pollution but also the overall air pollution. This work also describes the impact of air pollution on human health, the economic and other impacts of air pollution. In the next part, we described the current situation in the research of forensic methods in the analysis of air quality, as well as environmental crime in the field of air protection in the Slovak Republic.
