This bachelor thesis deals not only with the development and mission of self- governing hunting management in Slovakia, but also with the history of hunting in Slovakia during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was, in a good way, influenced by important nobles, introduction, but also by a good management. Our task was to process a search of all legal forms of hunting governments that have been operating in Slovakia since 1920 and then to compare their roles and competencies depending on the valid hunting legislation in that period. Last but not least, this work evaluates the purpose and contribution of self-government hunting management and proposes an update of the tasks and mission of hunting self-government.
