The Master thesis is focused on the proposal of a construction system of a guest house with the emphasis given on the eco-friendly construction and meeting the thermal insulation requirements according to the standard. STN 73 0540. The thesis deals with the basic requirements for accommodation facility and the issue of vegetative roof. In the following chapter, the construction proposal of a guest house is mentioned, materials used are described and evaluated in terms of thermal insulation. The programme TEPLO and AREA were used to evaluate thermal properties. Critical details related to the construction were modelled. In the conclusion of the thesis, energy efficiency of the guest house was evaluated using the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP). Moreover, the programme STEICO- XPRESS by the Steico company was used to measure bearing capacity of the bearing member.
