The diploma thesis is focused on experimental research of the influence of thermally modified wood produced at thermal modification temperature of 105 °C, 125 °C and 135°C from the point of view of surface quality by milling on CNC machining center, as well as analysis of influence of monitored independent parameters: influence of wood, e – influence of removal and vf – sliding speed, on dependent parameters representing the quality of surface treatment. The decisive and evaluating parameters were the mean arithmetic deviation of the corrugation profile Wa and the mean arithmetic deviation of the roughness profile Ra. Before this work, we used samples of domestic trees Beech (Fagus sylvatica), Birch (Betula verrucose) and Alder (Alnus glutinosa), which were thermally treated but also untreated, the so-called native wood. The surface quality was measured on a laser profilometer LPM-4 from the company KVANT s. r. o., by means of which the parameters of the corrugation and roughness profile were derived from the primary profile.
