The submitted diploma thesis deals with the options of construction of kitchen units. The first chapter describes a literature summary of knowledge about the history, possible layout, used materials and construction of kitchen units. The second and third chapters capture the objectives and methodology of this diploma thesis. The aim of the work was to design the layout and construction solution of the kitchen set. The constructive solution of the kitchen unit in the reconstructed housing unit of a family house, the process its production and assembly, is summarized in the fourth chapter. Alternative solutions of the proposed kitchen unit construction are also elaborated in this chapter. The diploma thesis also included construction drawings with primary views, sections and details, a bill of materials, material costs and technical conditions. The functional, design and financial aspects of the design were not neglected. The diploma thesis met the set goal, defined sub-goals and conditions. It contains the specified layout and shape of individual parts of the kitchen unit, internal equipment of cabinets, structural connections and connecting means. It compares the proposed design solution with the proposed alternatives of structural joints.
