This bachelor thesis deals with technical standardization in the process of quality assessment of biofuels. The aim of the work was to determine the impact of technical standardization on the development of biofuel quality. The first chapter informs us about renewable energy sources and global energy consumption. The second chapter defines biomass, its origin and use. The third and fourth chapters discuss biofuels and their process and complexity of production. In the final fifth chapter, we dealt mainly with the standard STN EN 15234-1 Solid biofuels. Technical standardization in the biofuel production process is of great importance and aims to increase the efficiency of biofuel trade and improve communication between the seller, buyer and producer.
