The thesis is focused on the installation of timber and wood-aluminium windows of various construction systems in the perimeter walls. The first part of the thesis deals with the design, functional requirements, principles, inspecting, testing and accepting the details of the window installation. The research part of the thesis is focused on determining the design of the installation details of window construction in various structural systems in practice. Specifically, technical information related to the installation of a historic double timber window, a new single timber window in a shape similar to a historic window and a single wood-aluminium window in a modern structure was obtained. The gathered information is processed following the technical drawings with descriptions and photo documentation from practise. The following part is devoted to the analysis and evaluation of the correctness of the technical design of the installation details of windows on the basis of the valid standard STN 73 3134 and professional literature. The risk of mould on the inner linings is also assessed. In the conclusion of the thesis, the correct method for processing the details is proposed.
