The bechelor thesis „Assessment ofthe impact of forest fuel on the formation and course of fires in the forest environmetˮ deals with the characteristics of terms related to forest fires. The aim of the thesis is to characterize the factors of fuel (compactness, quantity, horizontal and vertical arrangement, chemical properties, size and shape and moisture of the fuel), which have the greatest in fluence on the initiation and behaviour of fires in the forest environment. Each of these factors has a different effect on fire and affects the burning by different parameters.
