Invasive species of plants or animals are various species that do not have the original area of distribution in our territory. The issue and monitoring of these species is very important, because they have negative effect on natural plant diversity, their removal is difficult and it is necessary to repeat them several times a year. As the study area, on which the bachelor's thesis was focused the hunting district Púšť at the town Prievidza was selected. Field research was conducted to map the occurrence of invasive species of the genus Reynoutria. Specifically, we found only the species Reynoutria japonica in the hunting district, which was distributed in five localities throughout examined area in the cadastral area of the village Veľká Lehôtka. The research took place in four seasons in years 2020 and 2021. The result of the work was a description of the cadastral area in which the investigated localities were distributed, detailed positions and area of the stands and their capture by photo documentation.
