Urban vegetation through its ability to influence the characteristics of the climate in relation to air temperature and relative air humidity is a means that can mitigate the effects of urban climate. Vegetation in cities becomes a way to achieve a healthy and comfortable environment for humans even in a heavily urbanized environment. Air temperature and relative air humidity are the most important in formation of climate. The use of vegetation in cities is natural way to mantain bioclimatic comfort in an urban environment in a satisfactory condition. The practical part of this diploma work aims to demostrate the ability of various vegetation stands to positively influence the course of meteorological elements, specially air temperature and relative air humidity, especially during the warmest period of the year. In the final part of the diploma work we discuss the fact the stands of woody vegetation have a significant damping effect in relation to the air temperature and influence its maxima and course very significantly. Based on this finding, the diploma work points to the high importance of urban vegetation and the need for its multiplicity in cities to ensure bioclimatic comfort.
