This coursework presents an insight into the issue of saw blades, their geometrics and the saw blade wearing measurement methods. Classification of sawing and saw blades, basic shapes of saw blade teeth and basic geometrics of saw blades constitute the initial part of the coursework, which is followed by a closer definition of direct and indirect saw blade wearing measurement methods. The main part of the coursework, however, is concerned with the definition of construction design of the saw blade wearing measuring tool for the particular saw blade used for this project, tool selection, characteristic of the slit material, definition of cutting conditions and description of saw blade teeth wearing measurement methodology. After performing the experiment, processing the measured values and evaluating them, we concluded that saw blade wearing is increasing with increasing length of cutting.
