This work represents modified wood together with its use mainly in construction in Europe as well as in Slovakia. It deals more closely with the properties and use of chemically and thermally modified wood. Part of this is the presentation of the riding hall, tribune and staircase in the multifunctional area near Šamorín, where the heat treatment is used in a larger quantity. It is a complex of buildings opened in 2014. During their use, the elements have already been marked by the aesthetic changes given by the conditions in which the thermowood is situated. Thermal shrinkage can be seen in color changes due to moisture at the staircase at pools. The exterior cladding of a horse-drawn caravan's hull has a slightly gray patina due to weather.
