The numerical models of weather forecast are nowadays the basic method of weather forecast for 3 but at most for 10 days.In the world are currently used various models e.g. GFS (Global Forecast System), ECMWF (European Centre for Medium – Range Weather Forecas), or in our country extended model ALADIN (Aire Limitée, Adaptation Dynamique, Development International – Meteo France). All models are using for predicting complicated schemes of differential equations which are processed by super computers. Each of these models has its own specifities. For correct management of game and work in hunting ground is often very important to be aware of the weather forecast. And the forecast isn´t always correct. That it why the main target of this work is to find out or to compare the accuracy of these models in chosen territories of Slovakia in various weather conditions by testing of wind speed.
