Measurement and determination of the flow can be determined in several ways,methods and devices based on different physical principles, and their practical applicationdepends on local conditions, for measurement of technical possibilities or technical levelgauges. When choosing a method for measuring and determining the flow profile in thenatural flow is necessary to take into account the influence of various factors on the physicalcharacteristics and the type of water flow in open channels to the requirements of accuracyand reproducibility.The aim of my work was to determine the flow using the indicator method in theriver's natural profile Stupavský stream, using as an indicator was applied NaCl - salt. Workresults are compared with other methods of flow measurement, which are used in hydrologicpractice and the readings of the consumption curve for the current water level in the time flowmeasurement.
