This work is focused on rotation initiative in dialogs among people. In interaction between human-human the communication is nature. On the other hand, the communication between human-computer is not very comfortable. This research is in Slovak language and deals with the turn-taking mechanisms in the human-human interactions. This study underlines the focus on overlapping speech segments and the turns in dialogs. In this work the small data corpus is analyzed, in which segments of overlaps and particular turns between speakers are marked. On the basis of the evaluation of analyzes and gathered information, the recommendations for human-machine communication were created.
