Master’s thesis is focused on applying auto corrective flashcards in educational practice, via which the self-appraising abilities of students are improved. The project of Masters thesis was realized with 33 9th grade students of elementary school in Sládkovičovo. During five months, 1089 auto corrective flashcards mostly from organic chemistry were administered to students (with a return rate of 48,02%). Quantitative analysis has proven that students that completed the most cards were more successful, based on their final grade. To find out the stance and opinions of students on self-evaluation and use of auto corrective cards, a questionnaire method was used. The results of this survey document that interest for chemistry of the students did not increase after working with the cards, but students appreciated the instant feedback while solving assigned tasks on the cards. The results also prove, that cards made the studying more varied and allowed the students better affirming of covered material.
