The topic of the Bachelor's thesis is: Polyfunctional residential house. The topicthat occurs often in our conditions. The architectural forums are filled with its differentforms. Thanks to these factors we have not only enough of inspirational examples but alsoa fair amount of academic literature available. Despite this, the problematics of thebachelor's work is rather difficult and it requires a detailed analysis. Words „polyfunctionalresidential house“ contain two fundamental components : services and housing. Thereforethe work is trying to express an opinion on their common connection and operationcustomized for a direct location. The analysis introduces Dúbravka as a contradictory anddiverse place. From the busy axis of the urban part, tram railway and road the surroundingis constantly changing. We are heading through the panel construction, family houses tothe nature area. The given land is situated on the imaginary border somewhere between thecivic amenities and housing in blocks of flats. The land is currently not being used. Thusthe majority of the work is focused on analysing the surroundings and finding a variety ofenvironments. The designed polyfunctional object is trying to fit in the built-up area whilestill considering the irregular terrain. The object is able to be placed further from the busySaratovská street thanks to the slope. Consequently a new protected place is created –a park. The results of the analysis are then used to model the architectural building itself. The building is divided into a variety of sectors, each sector suitable for a different user. The ground floor with a glass facade consists of services, which are helpful to make thetime spent in park more enjoyable for the users. The housing function is placed above it.The design is trying to create new opportunities – a place where the residents can meet andcreate a community. Therefore the semi-private space on the first floor is dominant. Thearchitecture of the object is trying to harmonize the surroundings and decrease the contrastamong the diverse built-up area. Hence the facade is simple. The facing enhances theverticality of the building, however, a dynamic horizontal element of semi-private areadestroys the monotousness of the composition. Building's diversity is mostly visible inside. The building consists of flats with variety of sizes. The flats are easily customizable toreach the users demands. The flexibility, fullfillment of functions and architecturally activeenvironment promises to create an economically sustainable setting. The design respectsthe principles and goals set in the initial analyzes. Their reconciliation with nature elementsand a specific urban part of Dúbravka creates an unique architectural object.
