Filip Hečko, Polyfunctional apartment house, bachelor thesis, Slovak Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Institute of Structures in Architecture and Civil Engineering. - Lecturer: Ing. arch. Andrej Maciak, PhD., - Bratislava 2018The content of the bachelor thesis is an architectural project and a project documentation at the level of a building permit for a multifunctional apartment building. The space is located in the city of Dúbravka on the periphery of the center of Bratislava. The work consists of two parts, an architectural project within the scope of the study and the project documentation within the scope of the building permit. The documentation consists of a text and graphical section. From an urban point of view, the Dúbravka locality is characterized by its experimental linear development from the period of normalization. The specified plot is located in the complete core of the composition with predominantly solitary objects. This was a decisive factor in shaping the urban concept. The design, by its location and orientation, is out-of- the-way, but respects the stopping lines of adjacent buildings. To the north-east of the main road (Saratovská Street) passing parallel to the territory is a block of galleries, which serves to isolate the interior of the building from frequented communication. Behind the block of the gallery there are two architectural masses oriented in the perpendicular direction of housing, amenities and services. Among the buildings is a half-park, serving people for relaxation and recreation. The environment has a wide range of civic amenities, with the prevalence of educational and sports centers and schools. In the narrow surroundings of the property there is a cultural house, grassy areas of larger dimensions and also a derelict building that could be involved in the development of this area in the future. The object consists of three primary parts. The first is housing, occupying the bulk of the proposed building. The second function consists of a gallery oriented to the southwest part of the plot. It serves to satisfy the cultural needs of the population and complements its existing cultural building by its function. The complimentary function includes additional facilities such as kindergarten, fitness, café, office space and small shops serving the inhabitants of the building and the surrounding area. From a composite point of view, the object is based on three orthogonal masses. Two parallel masses form housing. They are divided by different recesses into smaller units and ending with a higher point mass mirrored on both sides, which emphasizes the overall feeling of the building. The object of the gallery is located from Saratovksei Street, separating the interior of the building from the noisy path.
