In the last decade, young people have been traveling more and more for their experiences. Thanks to their low price and environment, they often choose to stay in hostels, allowing them to meet new people. Socialization supports the idea of staying in common areas because the rooms are especially adapted for cheap accommodation. The ambition of this bachelor thesis was to design the interior of a social room with a kitchen corner located in the future Liptov hostel. For material and color we ware looking for inspiration by the surrounded environment. In a spirit of sustainability, I used local wood and set up older pieces of furniture owned by the owners. I've been exploring the needs of the visitors and the wish of the owners, and on this basis I have proposed a functional division of the space that flows smoothly onto the terrace. In addition to sufficient seating, it was necessary to provide convenient access to electrical outlets. Every visitor has different requirements. Someone needs a recharge a cell phone while they come to cook a dinner or talk to new friends. Another needs to work on the laptop several hours per a day. The electrical outlets should always be on hand. The room should be constantly illuminated by dimming light so that it does not interfere with computer work or evening seating. The solution was to connect the cable with multiple sockets and insert the indicator light. The result has become a playful, wood-like beetle that has become a distinctive feature of the interior.
