The main topic of the bachelor thesis is the calibration of the sliding calipers according to the calibration procedure. There are described metrology activities, calibration theories, statistics for calibration, continuities of lenght measuring instruments to etalons and overwiew the most used gauges in engineering production. In the practical part we describe the realization of the calibration of a specific digital sliding caliper. The aim of the bachelor thesis is based on the theoretical knowledge, leaning on valid legislation, statistical methods and practical experience to create a calibration procedure for the selected lenght measuring instrument, used in engineering production.
