Kľúčové slová (ostatné):
The aim of the Master's project is to revitalize recently unused spaces, make out new qualities of available materials, enforce potentials at interesting sites. There are tens of such spaces in Bratislava; brownfield Račianska is bordered by the Račianska street on the west and by the Tomášikova street in the east side. The industrial park SIemens used to be placed here, later it was occupied by BEZ (Electrotechnic park of Bratislava). In mind, the area ends by the cross Trnavské mýto, where the end station of former Horse Rails was built in the 19th century. The net of rails makes the most important values; the paradox is in fact that rails aren't dangerous anymore, residents of contact zones come here with their dogs; after the dawn, the asociality is felt pretty strong, as the homeless do meet here in old stocks and garage cabins. The vegetation here is strong as it grows through whole site even surfaces, abandoned buildings, walls of concrete and bricks. The design is joined with the phenomenology -- a science studying the place as the volume bordered by the ability of minding a feature. An element dominates the simple 3D geometry and gives it a character, so called terciary feature that is subjective, in comparision with the objective primary features and those secondary that is possible to make up objective in the society. In the design i work with the stone as material that is able to modify diferently. The soft adjustment and bigger tiling size is used as cladding of Istropolis building, the smaller version as paving overgrown with grass within the area around the old warehouse next to railways. This is the way the stone mellows. We can see here the break-up of the net of structure and also the way the vegetation pushing through the material and time via the juncture. These principles were used to create an architecture of housing area (the fullfilment and placing given from the former winter-term project). The distortion of net is transformed into the facade design -- openings and perforations, "greening" applied to shaping the types of housing blocks which lead to design of the vegetation volumes. These phenomenoogy principles were put together with the mass made up of urbanistic, space-forming and aesthetic aims. It all results in the city block divided into public, semi-public, semi-private and private places that are always green in some way.
