The subject of this thesis is to create a project for revitalization of currently unused space between Rudohorská and Straohorská streets in Banská Bystrica with an area of approximately 5 ha, which has a high potential for transformation into a park object for approximately 35,000 inhabitants of the housing estate. The main objectives of this thesis included the inventory of tree planting from the area of the selected area, using a field survey to determine its condition, quantity, species composition and quality, as well as familiarization with the park area itself. The most important goal of this work, after consultation with the architect of the city of Banská Bystrica, is the proposal of changes in the use of the area and the project of revitalization of the area. to make this space available to residents of the housing estate so that the potential of this space can be exploited to a greater extent than is currently the case.
